Long Island Has Two New Queens
Long Island Pageants names Kristen Rosario and Adriana Lane Miss Long Island and Miss Long Island Teen.
It was a packed house at Madison Theatre at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, New York, as 17 local women and teens vied for the titles of Miss Long Island and Miss Long Island Teen. The annual event also marked the end of the reign for 2024 title holders Katherine Wang and Alexis Ebanks. It included a tearful recap of their year of service with the organization, as well as a special announcement: a pageant line of Whipped Lash Magnetic Lashes chosen by Wang and Ebanks.
The pageant, founded in 2008, is produced by Leanne Baum, owner and director of J&L Dream Productions and a former Miss Long Island title holder. Baum’s mission with the organization goes beyond the stage, instilling teens and women with confidence and leadership skills and encouraging community engagement. There’s a strong emphasis on mentorship, personal development, and service to others.
The live competition, hosted by former title holders Nadgeena Jerome and Lianne Webb, included activewear for teens, swimwear for the Miss contestants, evening gowns, and judges’ questions, which gave the women a chance to highlight their platforms. Once the judges’ scores were tallied, the 2025 runners-up and title holders were announced.
